Learning

From our beginning, we've been nurturing technology & arts education—stewarding a generation of technologists and artists.

We invite those with practices we admire to public talks and workshops, and also develop learning groups and classes.

Talks

We host public talks, screenings, and conversations with artists, technologists, and researchers whose practices we admire. Over the years, we've hosted hundreds of sessions — now programmed seasonally and in theme.

Past speakers have covered topics from internet art and digital rights to speculative design, infrastructure poetics, and community organizing through technology.

If you'd like to speak for Developh, reach out to us.

Becoming Hypertext

An intensive workshop with the School for Poetic Computation, co-taught by Chia Amisola and Kaloyan Kolev. The course reimagines the browser as both canvas and performance medium — treating websites as poems and the movement of the browser as a dance with the web.

Drawing from electronic literature, Octavia Butler's primitive hypertext, and choose-your-own-adventure game design, participants explore the operating system's built-in gestures, alt text, hidden source code, and HTML/JavaScript to create small browser-based artworks. Reading is just as interesting as writing.

July 11–13, 2025

Library

We maintain a growing collection of 100+ physical books on art, design, technology, and culture — spanning critical theory, speculative fiction, zines, and artist monographs. We hope to host these in a physical reading room one day. ♥
